Diablo Immortal Castle Cyrangar Guide

In the outskirts of Westmarch lies an ancient fortress rife with unspeakable horrors to extinguish, mysterious secrets to uncover, and if you’re successful, a new place for your Warband to call home: Castle Cyrangar. This Warband exploration experience will replace Warband Camps and introduce two replayable game modes along with passive bonuses that can be upgraded as you secure and defend your castle.

To begin the quest to bring Castle Cyrangar under your Warband’s banner, you must be at least level 20, be part of a Warband, and speak to Valstus in Westmarch’s Rakkis Plaza. Castle Cyrangar contains three main areas of emphasis for players to engage with: Purging the Depths, Warband Rooms, and Defense of Cyrangar.

Purge the Depths of Castle Cyrangar

You can traverse the randomized dark underbelly of Castle Cyrangar alone or with up to seven other Warband members as many times as desired.
Once you’ve cleared your castle of unwanted guests, additional rooms will become available for you and your Warband members to occupy. Each room has its own variety of unique bonuses that it provides to the occupant. Who occupies which room is up to your Warband Leader - they can assign and unassign players at will. A player is still able to unassign themselves from a Warband Room at any time. Players will receive the benefits of their room for as long as they occupy it, but cannot occupy more than one room at a time.

Warband Rooms can be upgraded by placing Remnants received from Purging the Depths of Castle Cyrangar. Doing so will provide that respective room with additional bonuses.

Defense of Cyrangar

Defense of Cyrangar offers two modes:
Standard Mode can be played once a week. In this mode, players must withstand eight waves of blood-thirsty demons. If your Warband successfully staves off the Hellspawn, you’ll receive rewards and experience for holding the line firm.
Endless Mode can be played at any time. In this mode, Warbands will receive a score based on how many heavy-hitting waves of demons they can survive. This mode has an accompanying leaderboard, so you can see how your Warband stacks up to others. Additionally, the top Warbands will receive the Cyrangar Defense Portrait Frame for their tenacity.

Ancestral Weapons

Ancestral Weapons, ancient armaments thought to be lost to time, have resurfaced with the rediscovery of Castle Cyrangar. Unfortunately, some of these weapons have fallen into demonic hands, so now you have a chance to find them anywhere in Sanctuary, but these venerable demon-killing tools have the highest chance to drop during the Purge the Depths and Defense of Cyrangar game modes.

To harness the power of these weapons, place them into your Ancestral Tableau, located in the heart of Castle Cyrangar. Once placed, Ancestral Weapons will confer a portion of their Attributes, such as Strength, Intelligence, and Vitality onto all members of your Warband. Each Warband member can only place one Ancestral Weapon in the Tableau, so work together with your fellow Warband members to assemble the best Ancestral Weapons you can find to power up all Warband members. The action of placing items into your Ancestral Tableau and providing a portion of their attributes to all members of your Warband does not require anyone else but yourself to be online.

Nerub-ar Palace Mythic, Story Mode, Raid Finder

Gather your allies and traverse into the dark depths of Azj-Kahet into Nerub-ar Palace to take the fight to eight new bosses, ending in a face-off against Queen Ansurek, but beware of the tangled web she weaves…or you may be her next meal.

Raid Bosses: 8
Difficulties: Raid Finder, Normal, Heroic, Mythic, Story Mode
Level: 80
Raid Finder Minimum Item Level: 567
Raid Unlock Schedule:
Week of September 10 - Raid Finder Wing 1: The Skittering Battlements (Ulgrax the Devourer | The Bloodbound Horror | Sikran, Captain of the Sureki), Normal, Heroic
Week of September 17 - Raid Finder Wing 2: Secrets of Nerub-ar Palace (Rasha'nan | Nexus-Princess Ky'veza | Broodtwister Ovi'nax), Mythic, Story Mode
Week of September 24 - Raid Finder Wing 3: A Queen's Fall (The Silken Court | Queen Ansurek)

Raid Bosses

Ulgrax the Devourer
Queen Ansurek's evolutionary experimentation created a number of monstrous guardians for her throne, none more voracious than Ulgrax the Devourer. Driven mad by endless hunger, Ulgrax is now the ravenous protector of Queen Ansurek's court

The Bloodbound Horror
In the dark pits below Nerub-ar Palace, the blood of the Old Gods congeals in foul, black pools. The Bloodbound Horror rises from this vile ooze — drawing everything in its path into The Unseeming.

Sikran, Captain of the Sureki
Sikran established himself as an arrogant duelist within Queen Ansurek's court. Never knowing the cut of an enemy's blade, Sikran dispatched his rivals one by one and was proclaimed Captain of the Sureki by the queen herself.

Rasha'nan
Twisted by Queen Ansurek's experiments, Rasha'nan was transformed from a proud nerubian into a monstrous, winged horror. Trapped within her new form, shattered memories of her former self drive Rasha'nan into an unquenchable rage.

Broodtwister Ovi'nax
Deep within the bowels of the queen's palace, Broodtwister Ovi'nax conducts abominable experiments with the black blood found in Azj'Kahet. This corpulent horror lumbers through the palace's cavernous depths, regurgitating inky sludge onto hatchlings to observe its gruesome effects.

Nexus-Princess Ky'veza
Nexus-Princess Ky'veza arrived at Nerub-ar Palace only recently, quickly establishing herself as a confidant of Queen Ansurek. However, rumors abound within the inner court that she may harbor a dark and deadly secret. If discovered, the princess is prepared to dispatch all witnesses without mercy…

The Silken Court
Scarab Lord Anub'arash and Skeinspinner Takazj are Queen Ansurek's most trusted advisors. Yet, these two powerful nerubians harbor a hatred for each other that is even more powerful than their loyalty to the throne. While unleashing their considerable strength onto their enemies, each also fights to ensure their counterpart doesn't survive.

Queen Ansurek
After a revelation of traitors in her court, Queen Ansurek decides she must eradicate the palace's invaders herself. However, paranoia over whom she can trust gnaws at her psyche. With her allies dwindling, Queen Ansurek may delve into dark powers to attain victory, even if that means her most loyal soldiers become her next meal.

Keep Enemies at Bay with Dryad in Season 8

Don't underestimate this nimble little acorn, Dryad is Warcraft Rumble’s newest Cenarion Troop. As one of the children of the forest, Dryad prefers peace but wont hesitate to use her agile ranged attack to poison and ensnare foes, keeping enemies at bay.

Dryad newest Cenarion Troop

Dryad won't be available in the G.R.I.D until Season 9, but don't worry; you can add it to your collection of Minis through the guild WarChest, PvP or three Store offers—one at season start, one mid-season, and another at the end of the season.

Scholomance

The keep which was once a sight to behold, fell to ruin duing the Second War. Now deep beneath the ruined keep of Caer Darrow, within a labyrinth of crypts lay Scholomance. A frightening dungeon full of twisting shadows, dark magic and necromancy.

G.R.I.D Overrides

G.R.I.D overrides are a new feature that give more control over the G.R.I.D, allowing Mini rarity and XP to be changed before purchase.

Types of Overrides
Rare-O-Matic
Tinker's Gem
The Rare-O-Matic or ROM for short can be placed in any open spot in the G.R.I.D and will override Mini quality in the same row or column, changing it to Rare. The Gold cost of the Mini will also change to match the new rarity.

A Tinker's Gem can be placed in any open spot in the G.R.I.D to grant additional bonus XP to Minis in the same row or column when purchased. This can be used in combination with the already existing XP bonuses found naturally in the G.R.I.D.

Overrides are consumed once a Mini is purchased from the G.R.I.D. Only one type of override can be used at a time.

New Emotes

The Goblin Giggle emote will be available in the guild WarChest and the Stinky Meat Wagon emote is earnable through PvP at 12,000 Honor.

Season Schedule

We've added some new combinations to Arclight Surge that include Cenarion Leaders and Sylvanas. We will be updating these again in Season 9 with additional not telling combinations...and a touch of nature's influence.

Wield Untold Power in Crucible of Justice

Crucible of Justice is the next chapter of Diablo Immortal's main questline, available to those who have reached Paragon level 30 and completed the final leg of the Southern Dreadlands main quest, No Salvation. After retrieving the angelic sword El'druin from the Dreadlands, you have been tormented by your inability to wield it. A torment now taking on a life of its own. The Sword of Justice rejects the darkness that has crept into your body and mind with the shattering of the Worldstone shards. To contain the evil festering within and to prepare for your confrontation with Diablo, you must travel to the icy, beast-ridden Cold Isles—home of the Tempests— and fight for your very soul.

Cataclysm Classic: The Molten Front Now Live!

September 17, 2024

Prepare to face Ragnaros in the Firelands by taking the initiative in the Molten Front. Join the defenders of Hyjal as they work to create a foothold in the Firelands to quell the onslaught of Ragnaros’ elementals.

Before patch 4.4.1 is released, stalwart adventurers will have the opportunity to test their mettle at two daily quest areas located in the fertile hillsides of Mount Hyjal and the burning depths of the Firelands. Known as the Regrowth and Molten Front, these areas will offer daily solo content for level 85 players to enjoy - including over 60 new quests, four "unlockable" iLevel 365 gear vendors, and a world that evolves right before your eyes.

You'll be rewarded handsomely for your efforts in these embattled regions. In addition to all the new gear you'll be able to purchase from the unlockable vendors, you'll also receive an additional set of rewards upon opening up all the available content at both daily quest areas.

Players who take on this task will be presented with a stunning Flameward Hippogryph as well a special one-time questline that will explore the origins of Leyara, the powerful Druid of the Flame who commands the Firelord’s forces at the Regrowth and Molten Front, and why her hatred for Malfurion Stormrage burns so brightly.

Diablo Immortal and World of Warcraft collaboration
Fight monsters, figth alongside undead, and get Frostmourne!

In a spectacle of fate, Frostmourne, a mysterious blade belonging to the feared Lich King, has materialized in Sanctuary. Undead threats amass in frost-laden portals, bolstering Diablo’s ever-growing strength.

Shadow of the Frozen Throne Event

Menacing Frozen Gates have been spotted throughout Sanctuary’s wilderness. Their glacial presence intimidates all who dare to gaze upon them. From July 4, 3 a.m.–July 26, 3 a.m. server time, you must track down these portals, brave the bitter cold by entering them, and melt the frozen hearts of the invaders waiting within.

A newfound power, Chill of the Frozen Throne, will be at your fingertips as you navigate the home of the freezing dead. Here’s how it works: Killing 5 monsters increases damage by 10% for 10 seconds. Randomly raise an undead warrior to fight for you (up to 5). Let this long unseen power champion your victory and lead you to rewards.

Thaw Out Otherworldly Rewards

Logging into Diablo Immortal during the Shadow of the Frozen Throne event will earn you the Icecrown Frame and completing the event will net you the Frostmourne Weapon Cosmetic. Just make sure to keep Frostmourne fed with souls, or else…

Reimagine your portal in image of the looming Icecrown Citadel. Receive a World of Warcraft-inspired Icecrown Pathway Portal with any Diablo Immortal real money purchase until July 26. In-game or Battle.net*only, limit one per character. The portal will be available to redeem starting July 11.

*If you received the Icecrown Pathway Portal as a bonus for any Diablo Immortal real money purchase made through Battle.net, the first character you log into Diablo Immortal with is eligible to claim the portal.
