This mount is a quest reward from the quest N [70] Onyxien the Onyx Netherwing Drake. It can also be bought from Drake Dealer Hurlunk on Netherwing Ledge in Shadowmoon Valley for 200g. You must be exalted with the faction Netherwing to obtain the quest and the right to purchase the mount.







Reins of the Green Proto-Drake
This item is hatched from  [Mysterious Egg]. These are sold by Geen in Sholazar Basin for 3g, you will need to be at Revered reputation with The Oracles. You may only carry one [Mysterious Egg] at a time, each of which takes three days to hatch (Patch 4.0.3a). It has an extremely low drop chance (increased slightly in 4.0.3a).

It can be listed on the Black Market Auction House by Mei Francis, for the opening bid of 20,000g.

This item is a reputation reward; you must be exalted with Sha'tari Skyguard to buy this item from Neutral Grella at Blackwind Landing in Terokkar Forest for 200g.

This mount drops from the rare-spawn Aeonaxx in Deepholm. Can only be found as a rare spawn in Deepholm. Aeonaxx spawns near the Quartzite Basin and will fly to and around the Temple of Earth.

You have to be an archaeologist and you have to get lucky and find fragments of a Canopic Jar. Upon collecting the appropriate amount of Tol'vir Archaeology Fragment you will be able to complete the jar, and then open it. If you're lucky (again) it will contain a Recipe: Vial of the Sands, which can be learned with 525 Alchemy skill.
