Introduction
Long ago the Titans created 'seed races', including giants, to watch the world of Azeroth together with watchers. The Sons of Hodir in particular struck up a friendship with the Titanic watcher Thorim, who eventually married Sif. Some time after falling to the corruption of Yogg-Saron Thorim's brother Loken killed Sif and tricked Thorim into believing that King Arngrim and the frost giants were responsible. In a fit of rage, Thorim threw his hammer, Krolmir, causing a massive explosion that created the scene known today as Thunderfall. While Thorim gave into despair and rested in a stupor for an unknown amount of years, the Sons of Hodir were deeply stunned at such an unexpected betrayal.

Years later, adventurers coming to Northrend to deal with the Lich King, would eventually meet up with Thorim through a series of events. Thorim, who has since learned the truth of Sif's death, is roused from his stupor and vows to take the fight to Loken. To this end and to make up for his past sins Thorim enlists the aid of adventurers to regain the trust of the Sons of Hodir



Reputation
The player will start as hated with The Sons of Hodir. To gain status you need to run the main quest chain which starts with N [79] They Took Our Men! in K3. Particularly N [80] Mending Fences and N [80] A Spark of Hope will boost your reputation, putting you well into honored.

To gain further reputation you can:

Run daily quests (see table)
Turn in [Relics of Ulduar]. These drop from many mobs in The Storm Peaks and its dungeons. They do not bind on pickup. If you have the money, buying these in the Auction House can be a quick and easy way to gain reputation.
Turn in [Everfrost Chips]. These appear rarely in the areas near Dun Niffelem, and bind on pickup.
Turn in [Sons of Hodir Commendation Badges]. As of Cataclysm you can purchase these with 16 [Justice Points]. They give 520 reputation when used.

Repeatable Quests
[80 Daily] Hot and Cold is unlocked by [80] Forging an Alliance from the main quest chain. This will bring Fjorn's Anvil to Dun Niffelem.
[80 Daily] Blowing Hodir's Horn is unlocked by:
[80] In Memoriam (+325 rep)
[80] A Monument to the Fallen (+97 rep)
which a sidequest chain from the main quest chain. This will restore The Horn of Hodir.
[80 Daily] Polishing the Helm is unlocked by:
[80] Forging a Head (+325 rep)
[80] Mounting Hodir's Helm (+195 rep)
which become available at friendly reputation. This presents Hodir's Helm to Dun Niffelem.
[80 Daily] Thrusting Hodir's Spear is unlocked by [80] Raising Hodir's Spear (+325 rep), which becomes available at honored reputation. This makes Hodir's Spear appear.

The rest of the dailies simply become available when the required reputation is reached.
